Access Control

Access control refers to any system which offers the capability to control and monitor authorised and unauthorised access of staff, visitors and trespassers to the perimeter of a facility, or to secure areas within a facility.

These systems provide greater security for staff and visitors, while restricting access to high security or confidential areas. CDS is able to integrate access control systems with CCTV systems, door entry systems, intruder alarms and fire systems etc.

Across Wales, the Midlands, the South West and South East, CDS Systems has installed the latest in electronic access control system technology in order to protect commercial properties, offices, factories, hospitals, public buildings, the retail sector, schools and colleges.

Systems can be linked to key-fobs or security clearance cards all the way up to fingerprint, facial or retinal recognition software. We have previously installed secure baby tagging systems in hospitals, designed to raise an alarm if a child is taken away from a maternity ward without permission.

We can also link to CCTV systems to enable control room staff to make on-the-fly decisions regarding access permission, as well as tying into alarms, perimeter intruder systems and even ANPR.
