IP CCTV

The cutting-edge technology at the heart of IP CCTV (Internet Protocol Closed Circuit Television) offers the same accurate and secure video data transfer benefits as standard digital CCTV, but makes the functionality less expensive by using standard internet/network technologies. In addition, it enables for viewing/monitoring of camera feeds or recorded data from any remote location, via the Internet.

When used in conjunction with network or digital video recording (NVR/DVR) equipment, IP CCTV offers higher quality images that don't degrade over time, as well as easier and more efficient playback and search capabilities, greater flexibility and efficiency of functionality - resulting in lower running costs, ease of integration and future-proof technology. This presents IP CCTV as the more cost effective solution when viewed in the longer-term.

Our high-resolution IP CCTV systems are available as either centralised solutions (requiring a central Network Video Recorder (NVR) to handle the recording, video and alarm management) or decentralised solutions (which do not require a central NVR as the cameras have recording functionality built-in, recording directly to digital storage media).

These systems are especially cost-effective in the case of larger CCTV projects, and are fully-compatible with the wireless infrastructure systems which CDS often designs and installs.
