St. David’s 2 – safer shopping with CDS
Massive security maintenance contract
Following years of successful installation, maintenance and upgrade works at the original St. David’s shopping centre in Cardiff, CDS Systems has been appointed to the security maintenance works at Land Securities’ £675m major retail extension, St. David’s 2.
The project involves guaranteeing the continued smooth running of 250+ leading-edge IP-based CCTV cameras, linked to a state-of-the-art control room. The cameras cover all public areas such as shops, walkways, stairwells and car parks. CDS was responsible for the commissioning and hand-over of the system to the client, on account of its superior technological know-how and long-standing experience with major security schemes.
